Get inspired at the famous Chelsea Flower Show
There’s always a lot of excitement around the Chelsea Flower Show. Held in the Royal Hospital Chelsea since 1913, it’s now a hugely famous event. Keen gardeners will love it, of course. But it’s also a great day out for anyone who loves to be creatively inspired. In fact, if you like to take stunning photos, or just love the buzz of a prestigious show, it’s also the place for you. So why not join the thousands of visitors and find out what the hype is about?
What can you see?
Firstly, head to the Grand Pavilion to immerse yourself in the displays. Here you’ll find exhibitors and specialists showing off their best flowers and plants. So, get ready for a feast of colours and perfection.
Another major highlight is always the Show Gardens. Each year top designers create landscaped gardens around a theme. Whether you just love garden spaces or enjoy the concepts behind them, you’re bound to enjoy choosing a favourite. So, prepare to be inspired!
Alternatively, if you prefer a more chilled out approach, drop by for the ‘Chelsea Late’. This evening ticket allows visitors to stay for drinks and live music. And of course, a chance to wander round at their own speed.
How to visit
To visit, head to the Royal Hospital Chelsea (Tube: Sloane Square).
The show is open to the general public on Thursday 23rd May – Saturday 25th May. (However, if you’re an RHS member, you can also visit on the Tuesday and Wednesday before).
You need to buy a ticket in advance. You can get a full day ticket, or just tickets for later in the day. Of course, tickets are of course super popular. However, if the day you’d like is sold out, check the website, as there are sometimes cancellations!
